COLOUR THERAPY
Our main energy source is sunlight and the
entire spectrum of colour is derived from light. Each colour has its own
wavelength and frequency, which produces a specific energy and can affect us
physically, emotionally and mentally. Every person has seven major energy
centers (chakras) and each centre is governed by one of the seven colour
energies. We receive colour nutrition from the sun, food, herbs, essential
oils, minerals, sound, colour bathing, clothing, decor, etc.
Our Colour Therapy Workshops are open to anyone with
an interest in colour and/or complementary therapy to learn more about Colour..
The workshops are suitable for existing therapists who may wish to introduce
colour into their current therapy modality. Colour blends beautifully with
other therapies and many practitioners who have begun to use the power of
colour have stated that it has greatly enhanced their work. Equally suitable
for those who are simply looking for a therapy to use in their everyday life
for their own health and well-being. There is something for everyone and
everyone is made very welcome.
You will learn a great deal about Colour and one of the great things about
Colour Therapy is that Colour is FREE – it is everywhere – and you can learn
how to utilise this free resource for health and well-being.
So often taken for granted , colour
is powerful and profound; and plays an integral part in everyone's life and
overall well-being. Everywhere we look we see colour, it is used in every day
language, and yet we often fail to harness it's wonderful healing qualities.
Colour Therapy helps people
understand their needs for certain colours and shows them how to use these
colours for health, healing, inspiration, relaxation and protection. A Colour
Therapist can use colour to balance energy, aid creativity and alleviate
physical, emotional and mental conditions. Colour has a definite effect on
mood, behaviour and heath.
Colour Therapy
or Chromotherapy has been successfully used since ancient times and has been a
part of medical practise for many centuries past. Colour is the soul of nature
and by experiencing the life of colour, we participate in this soul - this is
how Rudolph Steiner described the value of colour.
It is
obvious that Colour is of great significance in the holistic approach of
complementary health practice. Colour therapy utilises the energy contained in
the vibrations of the colour rays to promote health and healing.
It is a non-invasive therapy that
makes use of the healing energy contained within visible rays of colour.
It is a complementary therapy, which works in a subtle way with many other
types of treatment, although it can be used on its own whist still giving
excellent results.
Colour can be used to balance energy, aid creativity and learning, release blocks and help alleviate physical, emotional and mental conditions. Colour therapists encourage people to understand why they need certain colours and show them how to put these colours to beneficial use in order to promote optimum health..
